Where We Live
HWS is located some 90 miles from Aspen and Steamboat, along the western slopes of the Flat Top Wilderness.  We are adjacent to the White River National Forest and the river does run through it.  Our county population density is 1.9 people per square mile. Yes,  there are three times more elk living here than people!
